Good Charlotte and Taintstick bassist Benji Madden knocked out Riki Rachtman, longtime '80s host of MTV's metal Show 'Headbangers Ball,' in the first round of the boxing match during Ellismania 5, which was held in the Las Vegas Hard Rock and Casino on April 3.

Both contestants landed punches before Madden threw Rachtman to the mat. Soon after he stood back up, Madden clocked the VJ and sent him sprawling. After a standing eight count, Rachtman again stood up and the fight continued for a few moments. Then Madden landed a series of punches that felled Rachtman, and the fight was over.

"Benji Madden just kicked my ass," said Rachtman after the event. "I got wasted by the guy in Good Charlotte."

During the night, there were a number of other unusual fights. Event host Jason Ellis fought 'Murderball' star Mark Zupan in the wheelchair match and took on Aaron VanPatten and MMA superstar Kit Cope in a celebrity Shock Collar Match. The wheelchair match ended after three rounds, when Zupan landed a hammer fist on Ellis' family jewels, causing the fighter the tumble forward into Zupan's lap. The Murderballer took the opportunity to beat on Ellis' head, then knock his wheelchair to the ground. He was declared the victor after rubbing the host's head against the mat.

In the Blindfolded Shock Collar Match, Cope, Ellis and the 340 pound Van Patten stumbled around blindly while shocks were administered to their collars at random. At the same time, Zupan, who wasn't wearing a blindfold, roamed around the ring smashing each of the fighters with low blows they weren't expecting. Occasionally, the contestants landed hits with wildly swinging fists, but it was the shocks that proved the most debilitating, knocking each contestant to the ground at some point during the fight. After three rounds of brutality, VanPatten was declared the winner.
