Resin Play With the Big Boys Like Halestorm and Stone Temple Pilots
Portsmouth, Rhode Island band Resin have been blessed with a spate of good luck. The four-piece has recently shared stages with hard rock heavyweights like Halestorm, Godsmack, Sevendust, Stone Temple Pilots, Bret Michaels, Saliva and Papa Roach over the past year. "We love playing with the big boys," bassist Dave O'Brien told Noisecreep. "It raises your game to a whole other level."
So how does a local band prep, mentally and physically, for playing shows with national touring acts? "We prepare by staying focused, and the three most important things are: practice, practice, practice. Put on a complete show and you become one of the big boys," O'Brien said.
Resin describe their music as "new but familiar, edgy yet soft and heartfelt." And O'Brien said, "There's no fast-forward button here. We have very catchy lyrics involving everyday experiences of love, life and trials that everyone can relate to."
