After calling on fans to crowdfund their new album, Canadian neo-proggers Protest the Hero have announced the release date for the record. 'Volition' will drop on Oct. 29 in North America.

'Volition' is the band's fourth album and for it, they've partnered with Razor & Tie to handle licensing, distribution and other promotional arms. That way, they can focus on the tasks at hand, like touring, playing live, meeting fans, working on more music and other general band duties that don't require them to be their own record label.

On the same day as the commercial release, the band will fulfill all orders associated with their super successful Indiegogo campaign, which includes CD and vinyl versions of 'Volition' that will feature unique artwork that differs from the commercial release and will also include the perks offered during the Indiegogo campaign.

In addition to the release of 'Volition,' the band will also kick off a global tour in November. Dates are coming so don't get your knickers in a knot. Stay tuned for more details on that trek when they become available.
