Veteran Dutch technical death metal band Pestilence will launch their first North American tour in 16 years May 30 in Baltimore as part of the Maryland Deathfest at Sonar. Dates on the Resurrection Macabre Tour run through June 17 in New York City. Warbringer, Vital Remains, Enfold Darkness and Sacrificial Slaughter will open.

"Words can't really describe how excited we all are about this upcoming Resurrection Macabre Tour 2010," said vocalist and guitarist Patrick Mameli. "We will put our heart and soul into these upcoming shows and hope to make lots of fans happy with both old and new material."

In 2009, Pestilence released 'Resurrection Macabre,' their first album since 1994's 'Spheres.' The band's current lineup consists of Mameli (C-187), bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling (Obscura), drummer Yuma Van Eekelen (the New Dominion, Brutus) and guitarist Patrick Uterwijk.
