Lightning wasn't the only thing that came down at Germany's With Full Force festival this past weekend. As Alternative Press reports, Pennywise singer Zoli Teglas collapsed during his band's set, succumbing to serious back pain. Posting on their Facebook page, the California punk stalwarts elaborated on Zoli's condition and announced the cancellation of subsequent shows in Hengelo, Netherlands, and Schweinfurt, Germany.

"Zoli was having back-pain throughout the tour, and at Full Force festival he collapsed on stage a few times during the set," reads the statement. "He was taken to the emergency room where they said he needed an immediate operation, or risk the chance of paralysis. Needless to say we will have to cancel Hengelo and Schweinfurt, and hope for a quick recovery. We are very sorry we are forced to cancel these shows but Zolis health is our main focus right now...."

Teglas, who also fronts the hardcore band Ignite, joined Pennywise in 2010, replacing founding singer Jim Lindberg. The group has yet to announce how his surgery might affect a planned tour of Australia in August.
