It's all in the family for vocalist Pearl. Not only does her husband, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, play in her namesake band, but Pearl will also be opening for her father -- the inimitable Meat Loaf -- on his upcoming summer tour dates. Pearl is supporting her latest album, 'Little Immaculate White Fox.' She is self-described as "rock 'n' roll. It goes up, it goes down. It goes in, it goes out."

While the idea of working alongside one's spouse might not seem all that enticing, it's a pleasure for Pearl and Ian. "For us, it's been all positive so far. We are best friends and lovers, and we work famously together," Pearl told Noisecreep. "Lack of sleep can sometimes make you a little snippy, but that's as bad as it gets. Another positive ... we save on a hotel room."

The idea of working with one's father-in-law is something that might elicit a massive eye roll, but Ian looks forward to hitting the road with his wife's dear old dad. When asked how it is to tour alongside the powerhouse that is Meat Loaf, Ian told Noisecreep, "He's a legend, that's how it is! I saw Meat Loaf on the first 'Bat Out Of Hell' tour when I was a kid; so to share a stage with him is amazing for me. And it's a great opportunity for Pearl to make lots of new friends."

Growing up as a rock 'n' roll brat, Pearl witnessed and experienced many things -- like concerts -- that most of us don't until we're in our rebellious teens. She reminisced about her upbringing, saying, "When I was about 5 or 6 years old, it was my job to be 'scarf girl' -- to bring a different colored scarf out to my dad in between songs. Red for 'Bat Out of Hell,' black for 'Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth,' white for 'Two Out of Three Ain't Bad,' whatever it was.

"I had done it several times before in front of the same sized audiences. But for some reason this time one time, I met him in the middle of the stage, dressed in my favorite little gold lamé jumpsuit that I thought was so cool. I turned and looked out into the audience and froze. I don't know what it was that particular time. Before, I had obviously been focused only on dad and the players in the band. But this time I noticed the thousands of people, the lights, etc. It scared me, and I started to cry. Thousands of people let out a collective, 'Awwwww.' Dad scooped me up and said into the mic, 'Don't worry sweetie. These people are our friends.' The crowd went wild, and I remember feeling thrilled and scared, but loving it. I smiled and hid my face in his neck. Maybe that was the moment the stage bug was planted."

Meat Loaf and Scott Ian aren't the only superstars surrounding Pearl. 'Little Immaculate White Fox' features an A-list roster of cameos, including Alice in Chains axe Jerry Cantrell and Motor City Mad Man Ted Nugent.

"Ted and Jerry are close friends of ours," she said. "When we were in the studio mixing 'Check Out Charlie,' we thought it could do with some real kick-ass Uncle Ted feedback ripping. So we asked him. Can't hurt to ask. He said yes right away. He was up north in the studio with Jack Blades and had us send up the tracks. We asked him to just do his thing throughout the solo section in the middle, and he sent it back soloing through the entire thing ... which was awesome because it gave us a lot to work with. We were actually able to make the solo in the middle a sort of call-and-answer between Ted and Scott. If you listen, you'll hear it pan from left to right, Ted to Scott. It's so cool."

The experience of working with Cantrell on 'Anything' was equally thrilling. "It's a beautiful song written primarily by my guitar player Nalle Colt," Pearl said. "We asked him. He said yes, but he actually came into the studio with us. We plugged him into the board, and I sat at his feet while he played a very haunting, guitar-crying, heartbroken, almost Gilmour-ish turn throughout the song. Perfect."

While she might appear biased -- because she is married to him -- Pearl also champions her husband's talent, revealing that he's got a set of pipes. "I think Scott could possibly have a good voice for crooning. With a of couple lessons, I could potentially have my own Dean Martin," she said.
