Although Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix has experienced vocal problems which led to the cancellation of their South American tour, the outfit are soldiering out on a set of Canadian dates starting in October.

It was just a couple of weeks ago when Shaddix announced he feared that he would undergo a second vocal surgery, and earlier this month the singer was ordered to give his vocal chords a much needed rest.

With the announcement of their Canadian Tour, the assumption is that Shaddix simply needs time to regain his strength, and considering the momentum of their current single 'Leader of the Broken Hearts' (it's currently Top 20 at Active Rock Radio), heading out to the road is the logical choice.

Recent chart-toppers Pop Evil and up-and-coming act Age of Days will provide support on the Canadian run, which gets underway Oct. 4 in Vancouver and runs through an Oct. 22 finale in Montreal.

Papa Roach was absent at the beginning of the recent Carnival of Madness tour with Sevendust filling the void. There is no updated news regarding Shaddix's condition, but hopefully their trek to Canada will be met with great performances and even greater health.
