Overkill and Crowbar will be headlining this year's edition of the Metal Alliance Tour, it was announced today. The bill will also feature Havok, Black Fast and Invidia. Fear the Riff Expo will present the tour, which kicks off Sept. 9 in Joliet, Ill. at the Forge.

"This is going to be one killer tour that you sure won't want to miss," Overkill state. "See you in the pit wrecking everything!" This February saw the release of the Overkill's 12th album, The Grinding Wheel.

Last month, Overkill revealed that Shadows Fall and Flotsam and Jetsam drummer Jason Bittner would be behind the kit for the band going forward. "Jason is a long time friend of the band and his abilities have always spoke for themselves," frontman Bobby Blitz said. "Let the touring continue … onward-upward!”

Crowbar and Havok are no strangers to one another, having handled supporting duties together earlier this year for Suicidal Tendencies. Overkill also toured earlier this year, wrapping up a month-long jaunt with Egyptian death metal act Nile opening.

The 15-date Metal Alliance trek will wind down the East Coast and through the South before ending up in Salt Lake City, Utah Sept. 25.
