Oceansize

Delightfully arty U.K. band Oceansize, who released a stripped-down, digital-only EP titled 'Home & Minor' via iTunes, are currently working their tails off on a bunch of new material for their next proper studio release. Singer Mike Vennart told Noisecreep, "So many tunes, so little time. We've missed our deadline by about a year, but much fun is being had."

In addition to all the fun, the band is working at its own damn pace, too, since they own their own studio digs. "Owning your own studio is every bit the geeky fantasy you can envisage," Vennart admitted. "Every day is play day, and every day a new tune is born. Getting the bus home and immersing yourself in a song that is only two hours old is a feeling that never gets old."

However, that doesn't mean that it's all fun and games for Vennart and his crew. "Sadly, that is the easy bit," he intoned. "We'll be completing the hard work soon: turning all these hours and hours [of] jams and ideas into actual cohesive pieces."
