Municipal Waste

In the 10 years of Municipal Waste's existence, they have had some interesting experiences and great surprises. Like the time the band played to a hockey stadium filled with 30,000 people while on tour with Lamb of God last year. Or like when Gwar's Odereous parodied frontman Tony Foresta's leg injury by entering the stage in a wheelchair. Or even the time that Foresta had food poisoning in South America and a kid tried to steal his bandana off his head.

Among the band's chaotic adventures, one of the best qualities of the band's live show is the instructions Foresta and guitarist Ryan Waste give to the crowd. The two really know how to get the crowd going and do so as a team. So Noisecreep asked Foresta the boldest question: Who has better onstage banter, Foresta or Waste? Foresta answered honestly, saying, "Ryan is definitely better than me if he's drinking. But if I get a good night's sleep and I'm healthy and feeling good, then I can rock it."

Even though when Waste gets really wasted he doesn't play as good, Foresta says his comedic personality comes out full force. Two days before playing New England Metal and Hardcore Fest, Municipal Waste played at Bam Margera's club -- The Note -- in West Chester, Pa. That night in-between-song-magic happened.

"I made this joke where I was like, 'You can now call me Tony Forestah, the West Chestah Molestah.' And I thought I was the s---. Then we played a couple songs. The crowd kept yelling for us to play this one song. It's some old song that we never play. And Ryan said, 'Mother f---ers, we ain't the West Chester Song Requester!'"
