The metal/hardcore scene in Australia continues to thrive thanks in large part the bands like Northlane, who recently wowed massive hometown crowds at the Soundwave Festival.

They've just released a new album called Singularity which is garnering some of the best reviews the band has ever received. (The new single is called "Quantum Flux" and we've posted the video below.)

As Northlane prepares to head over to North America for their first-ever tour (which will take place in Canada), Noisecreep had a chance to speak with guitarist Josh Smith.

As he explained to us via video Skype from his home in Australia, he now lives next door to a Koala bear refuge. Unfortunately, none of the critters found their way onto camera during our interview.
