Just a couple days after Eric Avery backed out of Nine Inch Nails, the industrial rockers have recruited former member Robin Finck to rejoin the group. NIN mastermind Trent Reznor revealed the news in a tweet to his fans.

Eric Avery, best known as the founding bassist of Jane's Addiction, decided to exit Nine Inch Nails after being announced as a new member of the revived group earlier this year. Avery stated he was overwhelmed by the band's touring commitments.

Finck, who has played with NIN on multiple occasions, is known primarily as a guitarist, and it is not known if he will play guitar or bass in Nine Inch Nails. A photo (seen above) that Reznor tweeted shows Finck with a guitar and multi-instrumentalist Josh Eustis with a bass.

Nine Inch Nails are set to play a number of festival gigs in North America and overseas. See their full itinerary here.
