Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx Disses Godsmack’s Sully Surna on Twitter

On Sunday night (Jan. 29), Nikki Sixx sent a tweet that, if true, bodes well for the upcoming Mötley Crüe residency in Las Vegas and reveals the bassist’s inability to make peace with one Sully Erna, lead singer of Godsmack.

“We’re looking for an angry midget for our Vegas show’s and was thinking of using the singer from godsmack,” Sixx tweeted, days before the start of his band’s 12-date Sin City run.

The beef began in 2006, when Godsmack joined the Sixx and his bandmates on their Cruefest 2 tour. Erna felt he and his Boston compadres were treated unfairly, and when Sixx accused him of “crying like a bitch,” Erna wrote a so-titled diss track about the enduring — or, if you prefer, aging — L.A. rocker. Check out the video for the track below.

Regardless of how it all pans out, the Crue plays the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from Feb. 3 through 19.
