Nightrage

"Right now, we're getting ourselves prepared for our next touring activities," Nightrage drummer Johan Nunez told Noisecreep. "Nothing is 100% confirmed yet, but we might be on the road around October and November in Europe, then we'll start to compose some new material for the new album. After that, we're finally going to Greece to make a video clip." Nunez hinted at a big Nightrage announcement forthcoming, but couldn't (and wouldn't) scoop the details. He did, however, talk to Noisecreep about some band secrets, of sorts.

Nightrage may dabble in Swedish-influenced metal, but the band hails from various disparate environments, which only adds to the music's flair. "Since we all come from different countries and have completely opposite backgrounds, we may say that Nightrage is a multi-cultural band," Nunez said with a laugh. "Whatever the country we're going to play in, we pretty much have the chance to communicate in a native tongue.

"Mario [Iliopoulis] speaks Greek and Swedish. I speak French and Spanish. Anders [Hammer] can speak German and Olof [Morck] some Danish. Antony [Hämäläinen] is the most impressive guy when it comes to language, because he speaks fluently, both English and Finnish, but he can understand French, Greek and Swedish almost perfectly, so you can figure out what kind of issue it is when we want to insult him. We always have to do it in his back and that sucks! No seriously, we couldn't be without each other; it's also a different aspect that Nightrage has. We rarely see each other, so there are few chances that we would be fighting like a majority of other bands end up doing."

Nunez also hinted to Noisecreep that they have a bit of a madman among their ranks, who shows his -- er -- Hyde when fueled by libations. "We have a 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde' guy in the band," Nunez revealed. "He can be the nicest guy in the world, but when he gets infected by some prohibited drink, he turns into a beast! I'm not gonna reveal his name, but if you get the chance to see us in your town and you see a bald guy screaming around, run!"
