Becoming the Archetype guitarist Seth Hecox (at left) is an Atlanta Braves fan. But that doesn't stop him from being informed about Major League Baseball. He offered Noisecreep his very detailed prediction on which team will claim their divisions and who he thinks is going to win the Fall classic known as the world series. Here are his National League predictions. Don't worry; he gave us his American League predictions, too, which you can read on Noisecreep very soon.

NL East
"The Philadelphia Phillies will almost assuredly win this. I hate them, but they smash every NL team in runs, even the Dodgers. Pitching isn't there, plus, what a gay name for a team. Is it a coincidence that the two NL teams I hate most named their teams after a shortening of their city's name or status? Somehow, some owner thought that naming his team the New York Metropolitans would be good. And the Philadelphia Phillies? Come on guys, baseball deserves better than that!"

NL Central
"Wow, this is tight. I'm going with my heart and saying the St. Louis Cardinals, but my heart's been wrong before -- just ask the string of girlfriends in my past. I like the Redbirds, always have, always will. My mom grew up in St. Louis and even though I'm from Atlanta, I got to see four or five games in '98 when Big Mac broke the record and I'll always remember those great days at Busch Stadium. When I'm proven wrong about the Cardinals this year, send me an email and rub my face in it. I'm okay with that. I'll deserve it for following my heart instead of, well, whatever else there is to follow."

NL West
"The Los Angeles Dodgers all the way. The Rockies and Giants are good; the Dodgers are great. Plus, they've got Manny."

NL Wild Card
"I'm calling it right now and saying the Atlanta Braves are gonna get on a hot streak and pass the Rockies, Giants, Marlins, Cubs and Astros to make the playoffs for the first time in four years. Man, that's a lot of teams to pass, isn't it? Maybe I'm wrong, but The Braves are the team of the South. The Marlins and Rays don't count for anything. Florida's not the south and even the baseball fans in those cities don't go watch those losers. In 1991, the Braves went from worst to first and you better believe that every self-respecting American from Louisiana to northern Florida to Virginia to Kentucky remembers the playoffs that year. Mechanic shops and gas stations still have '91 and '92 pennants and posters of Terry Pendleton and David Justice on their walls. And I still frequently hear the question "Where were you when Sid slid?" because when Sid Bream beat Barry Bonds' throw to home plate. People who couldn't afford TV or cable were listening on their radios. I remember even my pastor started off a sermon in September '91 by doing the Tomahawk Chop."

NLCS - Dodgers vs Phillies: Dodgers win
"I might have mentioned that I hate the Phillies. I also feel that the Dodgers are a better team. Barring any major injuries, they seem like the strongest chance to win it all."
