If you consider yourself a Cynic fan, Biclops is a band you need to check out. Formerly known as Postman Syndrome, Biclops sonically follow the tech path a la Knife the Glitter and Dysrhythmia. Yet, that doesn't make them just another tech band from New Jersey. The quartet produces relentless academic tunes that take you on a journey. When they played the free beer, free show at New York's Fontana's last Thursday, the entire room was captivated. The band didn't say much, and neither did the crowd. Well, that is besides the one girl who screamed, "Play something tech-y!"

Unfortunately for those who don't live on the east coast, they don't have any shows lined up further west than Ohio (and even that isn't until October). On the other hand, bassist Brett Bamberger will be filling in on bass for the Binary Code this fall. The Binary Code fuse death, hardcore and tech (think Dillinger Escape Plan, Between the Buried and Me, etc). They will be doing a full U.S. tour with Hypno5e and Starring Janet Leigh this fall. As of publication, the Binary Code tour dates have been confirmed but not yet released.
