Mushroomhead Vocalist Waylon Reavis Announces Departure

Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis has left the group. Reavis announced the news today through a video message and press release posted on the official Waylon Reavis Fan Page on Facebook.

Waylon Reavis was one of three vocalists active in Mushroomhead alongside founding members Jeffrey 'Nothing' Hatrix and Jason Popson. He put in 11 years with Mushroomhead, first appearing on Savior Sorrow in 2006.

The official press release announcing Reavis' departure reads:

Due to irreconcilable differences with band ownership, effective today vocalist Waylon Reavis has severed all ties with Mushroomhead and Filthy Hands Company. Waylon is thankful for the opportunity Mushroomhead has provided him the last 11 years and will now be concentrating his time and efforts on another project. Thank you to the fans for all your continued loyalty and support throughout the years. There is no further comment at this time.

Three hours prior to releasing the statement, a video of Reavis was shared via the Facebook fan page. "What's up, guys? Waylon here. Get up, go do something, I did," Reavis says. "I'm not in Mushroomhead. It's f---ing true, I'm out. Get up, go do something. Trust me, I am going to do something. I told you change was coming. I'm out, but I'm not gone."
