Motorhead’s tour is not going so well. The trek was supposed to be a celebratory jaunt for their newest album, Bad Magic, and a nod to their 40th anniversary as a band. It's turned into canceled dates and shows that have been cut short because of Lemmy Kilmister's health, and it looks like things are not getting any better. In a post on the group’s Facebook page, Motorhead reveal that they've been forced to cancel at least two more shows, specifically their Dallas gig tonight (Sept. 4) and Houston show tomorrow (Sept. 5) because of the singer's condition.

While the specifics of the singer's current ailments are unclear, the frontman has been battling serious health issues for the past two years. Last fall he revealed that a surgery he underwent as part of that battle brought him "close to death." Right now, Motorhead states that they still intend to continue touring once Kilmister’s doctors give him the “all-clear,” but they don’t specify when that will be. Read their full post below.

“Regrettably Motörhead have had to cancel their Dallas and Houston appearances. Saxon will still be playing in each city (please check local media for up-to-date venue information). Lemmy fully intends to resume touring duties as, and when, his doctors give him the all-clear.
STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES, and as always, THANK YOU for your support, understanding and good wishes.”

The post was met with many kind comments from their fans, with people sending their well-wishes to the singer and encouraging him to take it easy and fully recover. And while ticket holders for the Dallas show tonight (Sept. 4) and Houston gig tomorrow (Sept. 5) won't get to see Motorhead perform, they can enjoy Saxon's set.

Motorhead is scheduled to tour through the rest of this month and then are supposed to set sail on their Motorhead’s Motorboat Cruise with Slayer, Anthrax and more. We’ll keep you posted on Kilmister’s health, any further tour updates and news about the cruise.
