Motörhead’s Mikkey Dee Talks Drum Influences, Hockey and His First Concert (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

He's had Lemmy's back since 1992 - Swedish drum boss, Mikkey Dee.

Before joining Motörhead, Dee had a successful run bashing the drums for Danish heavy metal icon King Diamond, and then was a member of Don Dokken's solo band for a year.

But for 20 years now it's been Motörhead, and so Dee will be spending the summer as he has much of the last two decades - on the road with one of the most solid and reliable bands that metal has ever produced.

As part of this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Motörhead is a main stage highlight along with Slayer and Slipknot. Backstage before the tour's kickoff date near San Bernardino, Calif., we hung out with Dee to talk about music, Lemmy, and of course, some hockey. After all, Dee is almost as much of a hockey head as he is a metal head.
