Motley Crue’s Vince Neil Bringing Arena League Football Back to Las Vegas
Though he had previously expressed his desire to bring football to Las Vegas, nothing was official for Motley Crue's Vince Neil until now. According to the Las Vegas Sun, the Arena Football League has given Neil the opportunity to "build a Las Vegas team from scratch" in time for the 2015 season.
Neil has been getting his feet wet in the football world, reportedly becoming a minority owner of the Jacksonville Sharks (although that was not completely confirmed). But even upon his association with the Jacksonville team, he discussed his desire to bring football back to Las Vegas, where he currently resides.
This will be the third time an AFL team has launched in Las Vegas, as the Las Vegas Sting played in Sin City during 1994 and 1995, while the Las Vegas Gladiators were in existence from 2003 to 2007. According to the newspaper, Neil has asked for his team to be called the Las Vegas Outlaws.
