Since we weren't lucky enough here in the U.S. to experience or witness the Big Four -- Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax -- sharing one stage at Sonisphere this June, the event can be broadcast in your living room, courtesy of the forthcoming DVD which captured headbanging history being made. 'The Big Four: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria' is a two-disc set out Oct. 19 and will feature full sets from all four of the thrash legends, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.

In a newsletter released to fans, Metallica wrote, "We had such an awesome time hanging with Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer and the cameras were already rolling, so why not?" There will be a corresponding Blu-ray configuration -- and for the die-hards, a limited-edition, super deluxe box set which includes the DVDs, five CDs featuring all the music, a 24-page booklet, a poster, photos of each band and a Big Four guitar pick. The band even joked that the DVD was simply called 'The Big Four: Live From Bulgaria.' Hey, it gets the job done, right?

If you are a serious collector, place your order for the super deluxe version of 'The Big Four: Live From Bulgaria' at the Metallica store, since the pre-order will include one limited edition, exclusive red guitar pick without either white, black, silver or gold print coloring. This pick will not be available in stores, and is only available with the pre-order.
