Metallica has always been known for their unique stage set ups and props -- in the current tour, balloons cover the stage during a point. It's intended to bring the larger-than-life band closer to their fans, as it creates excitement, but sometimes fans get a little too close to the stage. During Metallica's performance in Sydney, Australia last week, a child was too close to the action, accidentally getting guitarist Kirk Hammett's boot to the face as he was kicking black balloons.

Metallica are currently finishing up a two-year tour in support of 'Death Magnetic.'
