Which Metal Icon Should Be on ‘The Simpsons’? – Readers Poll

'The Simpsons' have entered their 25th season and have had a slew of celebrity guest appearances throughout the years. The cartoon counts rock and metal stars and groups like Aerosmith, Ringo Starr, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Rock, the Who, Mick Jagger, Ted Nugent, and Metallica amongst its ranks. And now it was just announced that a new icon will be added to that list in January when Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford goes under the animation knife.

When looking back at the overwhelming amount of guests on 'The Simpsons' it's surprising we haven't seen more heavy metal icons make an appearance on the show. Halford will be featured in an episode titled 'Steal This Episode,' where Homer finds himself in trouble yet again. Bart shows Homer how to illegally download movies, which ultimately winds up with Halford's cameo appearance as he sings a 'Breaking the Law' parody about Homer's latest hijinx.
