Get ready for a bloody battle! Megadeth have unleashed the video for their new song "The Threat Is Real" and its quite the visual treat. In the animated video, the members of the band are all being held captive in a prison cell in a dilapidated city, but a rescue is underway. A pair of figured dispense of those guarding the band in bloody and violent fashion, but their captor will not be taken so easily. Watch the video in full above.

In related news, earlier this week Megadeth announced that they would be hitting the road in February and March in support of their new Dystopia album. The group has played sparingly in recent months, using Chris Adler on drums when available and calling upon their drum tech Tony Laureano when Adler was otherwise committed to Lamb of God. Adler played drums on Dystopia, but has been juggling commitments to both bands. However, when Megadeth hits the road in February, the drummer will be behind the kit.

During our chat with Megadeth's Dave Mustaine earlier this week, he told us, "Lamb of God's going to be taking a sabbatical soon and Chris is going to jump into us full time, which is great for us. Megadeth is Chris' favorite band growing up. It's his love, and I'm honored just because of the talent that he has. So that's the way we're gonna do it for now."

The tour kicks off Feb. 20 in Dallas and tickets are going on sale to the general public today (Dec. 11). The trek, which currently runs through March 24 in Quebec City, also includes support from Suicidal Tendencies, Children of Bodom and Havok. Visit the band's website for ticketing info and dates.

Megadeth's Dystopia album is due Jan. 22. There are currently a number of pre-order bundle packages available to fans at this location.
