Mastodon Fall Victim to Grim Reaper’s Very Bad Day in ‘Show Yourself’ Video

If you see the Grim Reaper, you’re likely having a very bad day. But the bad days aren’t just reserved for you, as we find out in the new Mastodon video for “Show Yourself.”

In the Roboshobo-directed video, a reaper appears hot on the tail of an elderly lady, but manages to botch the task at hand and finds himself on the wrong end of his boss’ wrath for not closing the deal. With a little incentive and a pep talk, the reaper is tasked with making sure that “rock is dead” by sending Mastodon into the afterlife. But the reaper’s no good very bad day continues as he mistakenly takes the lives of several men who look somewhat similar to his targets. Can the reaper ever get it right? Watch and find out in the video above.

“Show Yourself” is featured on the band’s new album, Emperor of Sand, which is set to arrive on March 31 via Reprise Records. If you’re interested in picking up the album, it is available to pre-order in a variety of options at this location.

Mastodon are starting to plan out their promotion of the disc. They recently announced plans to play Jimmy Kimmel Live and they also booked a trio of in-store appearances. The group also has a major tour on the horizon. To see all of their dates, click here.
