Marilyn Manson has revived a fan favorite from the soundtrack of the classic 1987 vampire film Lost Boys, taking on the Gerard McMann song "Cry Little Sister." Though the song was officially released earlier this month, Manson now has a video to go along with the song, courtesy of director Bill Yukich.

The video centers solely on Manson, but Yukich's use of smoke and a watery-filter as well as blacklight coloring gives the clip its distinctive look and feel. Like the original, Manson lets the angst of the song go, while a backing choir gives it an eerie, haunting vibe. But the more industrial production of Tyler Bates allows Manson's cover to distinguish itself from the original, while still keeping enough of a stamp of the original song.

The cover is reportedly being targeted for the upcoming spinoff from The X-Men film franchise, The New Mutants, which is now expected to surface in 2019. If you like the song, it is available to purchase in the platform of your choosing here.

Marilyn Manson just wrapped a European tour leg and will catch a brief breather before starting up again with Rob Zombie on July 11 in Detroit for the beginning of the "Twins of Evil: The Second Coming" tour this summer. See all of his scheduled dates here.
