Swedish rockers Manegarm are back on the warpath, leaving destruction in their wake as evidenced by their latest video for 'Sons of War.' The clip, shot by Fredrik Agne' of Fragutopia Production, is exclusively premiering here at Noisecreep.

The band tease of the video, "At the shimmering break of dawn a battle was fought in a land far north …" They add, “'Sons of War' is our brand new video taken from our album 'Legions of the North.' The video was shot in the surroundings of the small town Gärdsjö in Sweden by Fredrik Agne' (Fragutopia production) and as you can see we also got some great help from the Viking reenactment group Gärdsjöriddarna (knights of Gärdsjö). Among lots of cool stuff, they had built their own Viking house in the exact same way that our ancestors built em' -- with logs, peat and wooden bolts and bricks! … So unite brothers and sisters and join our Northern sons as they fight an epic battle on the great plains of Vigrid...”

The video itself is a mixture of performance and a narrative featuring a Viking group as they prepare to enter battle. For the performance side of things, fans get an up close look at the fret work provided by axemen Markus Andre and Jonas Almkvist, while Jacob Hallegren virtually pummels the drums. The whole audio assault is accentuated by the power vocals of Erik Graswio, who also lays down some killer bass.

'Sons of War' is featured on the 'Legions of the North' album, which is currently available via Napalm Records. The disc is also available online via iTunes and Amazon. While things are light on the touring side as the holidays approach, you can expect to see Manegarm back on the road in 2014.
