Machine Head have announced the second leg of their North American tour, set to take place this fall. The run, which is in support of the band's latest LP, Catharsis, will kick off Oct. 4 in Sacramento, Calif. at Ace Of Spades and conclude Nov. 24 in Santa Cruz, Calif. at Catalyst. The upcoming dates also include the six makeup dates from the first leg postponed when frontman Robb Flynn contracted a severe viral bronchitis lung infection.

"That goddamn viral bronchitis lasted seven weeks!" Flynn says in a statement. "It kicked my ass! But that shit is gone now, and we're ready to kick ass again, so Head Cases of North America, I ask you...are you ready? Are you ready?! Cause we’re ready to rage!!!"

"I tell you what man...that last show in Pittsburgh...it was one of the roughest shows of my life," he says. "It’s one of the most helpless feelings in the world, losing your voice onstage. There's no 'powering through it,' there no 'manning up,' and while I hardly consider myself the most manly-man out there, I hold myself to an impossibly high standard when it comes to performing. I want to fucking crush it every night, I want to blow people away every night. And when I can’t, it really is a feeling of complete powerlessness."

The band will once again will be giving fans "An Evening With Machine Head," playing over two and a half hours of material in markets they didn't visit on the first leg.

"After the first tour in support of Catharsis hitting typical Machine Head strongholds like Chicago, Denver and Oakland, we’ve been really looking forward to doing a second North American run that hits all the nooks and crannies of America," Flynn says. "Places that a lot of time get left off a traditional tour routing as they are smaller markets, and maybe route way off the main highways that run through the states."

Pre-sale tickets and VIP packages available today only (July 10) at this location. Tickets go on sale everywhere this Friday (July 13) at 10:00 AM local time at this location. The full list of dates can be found below.
