Lo-Pan love their songs sludgy, groovy, and totally catchy. The Columbus, OH group's forthcoming 'Salvador' album has the potential to find an audience with both the snobby rock journalist types as well as a more mainstream crowd.

Playing music reminiscent of early Soundgarden and Torche, Lo-Pan singer Jeff Martin's sweetened vocal delivery also reminds Noisecreep of Kyuss' John Garcia. However, it's Lo-Pan's straight-forward and economic songwriting that sets them apart from other bands attempting to play in the same style.

'Salvador' will be released on May 24th via Small Stone Records, home of great acts such as Acid King and The Brought Low. Noisecreep is proud to bring our readers the premiere of 'El Dorado,' one of the record's most infectious numbers.

Listen to 'El Dorado'

The lyrics to 'El Dorado' were inspired by the Edgar Alan Poe poem of the same name. The twin-guitar attack is anchored by J. Bartz' thunderous drumming, while Martin's pop-coated vocals effortlessly glide through the noise.

Formed in 2005, Lo-Pan have been hitting the live circuit hard, playing with everyone from The Sword, Saviours, and Atomic Bitchwax. The band will take the road again this spring and summer with national dates snaking through the country. More info can be found here.
