Collaboration is the life blood of innovation. And with that in mind, we have news on a possible collaboration that fans may not have been expecting. Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington has reportedly been in a recording studio with Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton.

Few details have been revealed about the pairing, other than that the duo were joined in the studio by longtime Lamb of God producer Josh Wilbur. According to ThePrp, Bennington reportedly tweeted out lyrics to a song they were working on via his Instagram account, but the post no longer appears.

Meanwhile, Morton posed for a selfie with Bennington and posted it on his Twitter account with the caption “Sounds killer too.” Check out his post below.

It is not known as of yet where the song will surface. As we’ve seen over the past couple of albums, Linkin Park have opened themselves up to more collaboration, and Bennington has stepped out to lend his vocals on a number of projects over the years. Meanwhile, Morton served up a solo track called “Snowbound” in early 2016 and spoke of working with “some great players” on a project at the time. Add that to the fact that Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe teased “time off for real” at the end of the Sturm Und Drang album cycle and Morton could potentially be ready to issue some new music on the side. Stay tuned to see how it turns out.
