More Details Emerge on Lamb of God Frontman Randy Blythe’s New York Photography Exhibition
D Randall Blythe: Show Me What You're Made Of will take place May 2 - June 30 at the Sacred Gallery NYC in Manhattan's SoHo District. The opening night reception will take place at the gallery from 8 to 11PM.
Blythe says, "I've been lucky enough to travel literally around the world several times for my job, and for the last few years I have carried a camera with me everywhere I go. Show Me What You're Made Of will showcase fine art prints of what I consider to be some of the most striking images that I have collected, both at home and during my travels. The body of work is quite diverse, and in an attempt to highlight that diversity, all the photos will be shown in custom made frames made of reclaimed wood, adding to the individuality of each piece."
He goes on to add, "The frames are made by my friend, Richmond, Va., musician Greta Brinkman (former bassist for Moby, The Deborah Harry Band, White Cross, and currently with RVA doom merchants Drug Lord). I am especially pleased to have my first exhibit at Sacred Arts, a gallery with such a solid connection to my community -- the underground music and arts scene. I hope to see as many of you as possible at the opening, so come on out, check out some photography, and be sure to say hi to me and Greta!”
In addition to the photo exhibition, Blythe recently turned up in a pair of decidedly different musical projects. One pitted the rocker with Sam Haycroft as they provided a twisted version of "Twinkle, Twinkle Needle in Your Eye," while the second was a trailer for Inventory that featured a sample of the music he composed for the Richmond Ballet. Meanwhile, fans can also look for Blythe's highly anticipated memoir "Dark Days" coming in July via Perseus/Da Capo books. In addition, Lamb of God are enjoying a break at the moment, but will be back in action this summer when they join Slipknot, Bullet for My Valentine and Motionless in White for a major tour.
