In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Lady Gaga talks about her experience at a recent Iron Maiden concert. The pop icon and a few of her friends went to see the British metal titans at their April 11th show in Tampa, FL. Gaga watched most of the show from a private guest suite in the arena, but towards the end of the performance, the power of Maiden's performance got the best of her.

"We went down during 'The Number of the Beast' and when we got there ... we just booked it into the center of the crowd. We were dancing and singing and everyone was just so into it. And it was one of the first times I've been able to just be at a rock concert in a long time."

Gaga had initially been apprehensive about leaving the safety of the private box, but was surprised by the sweet response she received from Maiden's fans.

"People did recognize me, but it was so kind and warm and awesome ... I'm a pop singer - I didn't know what it would be like in a crowd of Maiden fans; everybody was hugging me, high-fiving, fist pumps in the air... 'Oh, it's so cool you're at Maiden.' Jumping and dancing... I mean, it was like absolute no judgment, no prejudice, freedom and love for music. It doesn't matter who you are... It was just awesome ... Maiden changed my life," Gaga told the magazine.

Gaga hasn't been shy about her love for Maiden. For her 666th Tweet, the superstar linked her 10 million plus followers to a photo of her and drummer Nicko McBrain. If that weren't already enough proof of her devotion to our music, Gaga even wrote a song called 'Heavy Metal Lover' on her new album, 'Born This Way.'
