Kittie"It's our favorite holiday around here," Kittie's Morgan Lander told Noisecreep. Yes, dear reader, Halloween is popular with our neighbors to the north in Canada, too! "My parents were so into Halloween and we had the craziest set up at the house. They had 10-foot zombies and they'd stick our guitar amps underneath them with microphones attached and I'd be screaming at the kids with my metal voice, making them cry and run away, so it was a fun time for us."

Even though the Kittie singer got a kick out of terrorizing the local ankle biters, she admits that she'd "still trick or treat if I could. Any of the chocolate bars I am all good with! If I could crouch down, I could pass for a kid, maybe I could still do it and sneak candy."

If the band is working on Oct. 31, they, like most musicians, celebrate on stage. "We dress up if we have a show on Halloween," Lander said. "It's fun and important and we can look forward to it."

And Lander loves going all out when she dresses up. "I've been all kinds of stupid things and wearing costumes while performing can be warm, but it is worth it." Her most ridiculous costume? A unicorn. "I wore my regular stage clothes and it was a headdress with a face cut out of it, and it was all white fur and ears and horn, but only my face was cut out and I wore long white fur gloves," Lander recalled. "It was ridiculous. We love what we do and how can we not be having a good time?"

Kittie's latest, 'In the Black,' is out now.
