King’s X Frontman Dug Pinnick Recovering From Surgery

Dug Pinnick

Dug Pinnick, frontman and bassist for prog rockers King’s X, is recovering from hernia surgery.

The singer, who released a new solo effort ‘Naked’ back in May, shared a short but sweet series of updates on his status and progress via Twitter, which were accompanied by photos.

Pinnick, 62, underwent surgery on July 3. In this digital day and age, fans are invited and welcomed into their favorite musicians’ personal lives, and Pinnick certainly pulled back the digital curtain.

The vocalist shared an image while he was going in for surgery, complete with a hospital gown and surgical cap. What’s most striking is that he was smiling in an imagine captioned “Cuts like a knife.” An interesting use of a Bryan Adams’ song title and a popular idiom!

He also shared a post-op photo, but don’t worry. It wasn’t gruesome. He was in a wheelchair and ready to go home, posting, “I’m done.” He also threw the peace sign, so we know he is in good spirits. Hernias are supposedly incredibly painful so we’re glad to hear that Pinnick is on the mend.

Noisecreep sends our best to King’s X frontman Dug Pinnick with hopes for a speedy and healthy recovery.
