Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta and Crowbat/Down guitarist Kirk Windstein are back as tandem in their side project Kingdom of Sorrow, which will release their second album, 'Behind the Blackest Tears,' on June 8 through Relapse Records. The album follows the band's debut, the white-knuckled, self-titled sludge fest that impacted the metal world in 2008. Man, does Jasta ever take a break?

'Behind the Blackest Tears'; was recorded at Dexter Lab Recordings in Milford, Conn. Be patient, as the album's artwork and track listing will be unveiled shortly.

In an official statement, Jasta revealed himself to be an old softy, saying, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Kingdom of Sorrow. Your support has made it possible for this band and album to exist, and I hope you enjoy this. We put our blood and sweat into this album and it has provided us with a great deal of artistic freedom and fulfillment."

The most standout element of the self-titled release was the way Jasta pushed himself to use an array of voices that we don't get to hear in his main band.
