"Finally, Long Island ... here we come!" Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D'Antonio exclaims.

Call it one hell of an end-of-summer bash: Killswitch Engage will play two special shows this weekend. First, on Saturday, Aug. 29, the boys will roll into Long Island to headline the Bay Stage at the Jones Beach Amphitheatre. This show features two stages. Unearth, Vision of Disorder and All That Remains provide main stage support. Local acts show off on the second stage. This is the first time Killswitch has played Long Island.

"You'd think after 10 years of being a band, Long Island would have gotten some love from KsE by now," D'Antonio tells Noisecreep. "While I am not sure of the reasons, I can't even begin to elaborate on how excited we are to finally be playing there. Man, this should be the blow out party to end all blow out parties. Pack your capes, this one is a rager ... Long Island, you've been warned."

After KsE rocks Long Island, the band will jump inside their bus and travel to Northampton, Mass. to play a tribute show dubbed the Zing Fling. The show goes down at the Pearl Street Nightclub. That gig will feature KsE, All That Remains, Unearth, Once Beloved, Anti-Love and View of a Burning City. The show is a way for the bands to pay tribute to Zing Studios. All bands on the bill worked with the local studio.

The Zing Fling is an especially rare opportunity to see KsE in a 700-person capacity venue. Tickets are $35 at the door.
