Michigan's Dirt Fest is back for another installment in 2016! The one day event is slated for Aug. 13 at the Crofoot Festival Grounds in downtown Pontiac, Mich. where heavyweights Killswitch Engage, British metalcore stars Asking Alexandria and hardcore heroes Hatebreed will serve as this year's big acts.

Killswitch Engage will be out in support of their newest release, Incarnate, and fans can look forward to hearing new cuts like "Strength of Mind" live. Also promoting new records are Asking Alexandria who just released The Black and Hatebreed will be releasing their seventh studio effort, The Concrete Confessional, on May 13.

The festival will be a well-balanced mixed of metal, hardcore and hard rock with knockouts like Trivium, Attila, Bury Your Dead, Michigan natives Walls of JerichoSoil, Beyond Threshold and Psychostick all set to share the stage as well. Bury Your Dead will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough record, Beauty and the Breakdown, performing the album in its entirety.

Also scheduled to appear are Heartsick, It Lies Within, The Convalescence, Below The Tide, 6 Prong Paw, Ira Hill, Wrvth, Paralandra, Death of the Party, Deveraux, Harlow, Five Hundredth Year, Myths and Legends, Dystopian I, Hyngd, As We Divide, Our Dying Day, Sydetrakt, After the Minor. Over 50 bands in total will round out the Dirt Fest 2016 lineup with more announcements still to come.
