Jon Bon Jovi is still alive.

Yesterday evening, Dec. 19, the Bon Jovi frontman was the subject of an online death hoax. A rep for the 49-year-old singer said that JBJ is alive, well and performing at a charity event. So not only did he not die, but he keeps on doing good deeds for others. Perhaps he played 'Wanted Dead or Alive?'

Rumors of his death circulated widely and quickly on the interwebs yesterday and he blew up as trending Twitter topic after a fake press release began circulating and began being retweeted. The false report looks like it might have been copied from a Los Angeles Times story that announced the death of Michael Jackson.

A photo taken of Bon Jovi holding a sign that reads "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey, Dec. 19, 2011, 6:00," was posted by a photographer friend of the iconic singer last night.

You can read the terribly written fake release here. One can't help but think that whomever started this has some bad karma coming his or her way.
