The 9th annual Johnny Ramone Tribute will take place Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, an area adjacent to Paramount Studios. Director John Waters will host the event, which will feature a screening of Waters' 1990 cult classic 'Cry Baby' and vintage Ramones concert footage and music videos screened at the cemetery's 42-foot Mausoleum wall.

'Cry Baby' actress Traci Lords will also be attending the event, as she and Waters will participate in a Q&A event to discuss their thoughts on the iconic guitarist (seen at the far right in the above photo). Fans are encouraged to dress up for the occasion as one of their favorite members from The Ramones, as Johnny's widow Linda Ramone and the Sex Pistols' Steve Jones will serve as judges on the lookalike contest. More guests will be announced closer to the date.

The Hollywood Forever Cemetery, built in 1899, serves as the final resting place for such silver screen icons as Rudolph Valentino, Douglas Fairbanks, and Cecil B. DeMille. An eight-foot tall, bronze memorial statue of Johnny Ramone, who died in 2004 from prostate cancer, is housed on the grounds, and inscriptions from Ramone's friends Lisa Marie Presley, Rob Zombie, John Frusciante and his wife Linda Ramone adorn the statue.

Proceeds from the event, which costs $10 per ticket, benefit the Johnny Ramone Research fund at the USC Westside Prostate Center. Advance ticket sales can be purchased at www.ticketfly.com.
