There is still no official cause of death for former Warrant singer Jani Lane. Lane’s body was found in a motel in Woodland Hills, Calif. on Thursday. An autopsy was performed Friday, August 12 with inconclusive results. Experts will now rely on toxicology tests. It will be more than two months to finalize.

According to police sources, alcohol and prescription drugs were found in Lane’s motel room. There is no indication of suicide.

On August 12, the members of Warrant, now fronted by singer Robert Mason, played a concert in Grand Forks, ND. The band dedicated the show to Jani.

Other celebrity tributes continue, with many musicians from the 80s scene through today reaching out on Twitter. Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine tweeted “When I was eleven my dad took me to see Warrant at the Santa Monica Civic. You never forget your first concert. Rest in peace Jani Lane…”

According to the Washington Post, Lane’s family will gather Sunday, August 14 for a private memorial service. A public memorial with performances by Great White and L.A. Guns will be held in Hollywood on August 24 at a venue still to be announced.
