Jane's Addiction will never be confused with any form of drowsy behavior, as their energetic vibe is one of their most notable trademarks. It's evident in their latest single 'Another Soulmate,' a track that is now available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon.

The song has a bit of a history, as it first was performed live back in 2010 when bassist Duff McKagan was sitting in with the band. Perry Farrell has spoken about having a wealth of music for his various projects recently, but it is not known if 'Another Soulmate' will be a stand-alone single or targeted for some bigger package. In other release news, Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star has crafted 'Lullaby Versions of Jane's Addiction,' an album which comes out Aug. 20 via Roma Music Group. One of their biggest hits, 'Been Caught Stealing,' was transformed into a meditative and occasionally haunting tune and can be heard here. It's definitely a different take on the band's body of work, and it's comforting to know that Gen X'ers can now put their newborns to sleep with these soft melodies.

The tracks on the album are as follows: 'Stop,' 'Irresistible Force,' 'Superhero,' 'Ocean Size,' 'Three Days,' 'Been Caught Stealing,' 'Summertime Rolls,' 'I Would for You,' 'Just Because,' 'Jane Says,' 'Mountain Song,' 'Classic Girl,' and 'Ripple.'

"We feel our lullaby line fills a vacant musical niche," said Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star in a statement. "There are other lines of pop music lullabies but we decided to take the approach of being high end musically rather than simply doing these as a novelty. After all, just because the music is for a baby it doesn't have to sound unsophisticated."

In other Jane's Addiction release news, the 12 track CD+DVD 'Jane's Addiction Live in NYC,' which features a live version of 'Jane Says,' arrived back in June. The band will co-headline the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, which begins Aug. 9 in Scranton, Pa. (Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain).
