'American Idol' alum James Durbin married his longtime girlfriend, Heidi, on Dec. 31. In addition to the friends and family at the rocker's wedding, there was also a very special guest in the house: Queensrÿche frontman Geoff Tate.

Durbin is a big 'Ryche fan and the two ended up singing together at the reception. The pair did a duet of the Queensrÿche classic 'Take Hold of the Flame,' which is a favorite of Durbin and his new bride. Durbin was always planning to sing 'Take Hold of the Flame' to Heidi during their reception, but when Geoff got wind of the plans he and his wife Susan decided to fly to California for the New Year's Eve nuptials.

When the new Mr. and Mrs. Durbin walked into their reception, Tate immediately introduced himself. A little later into the party, Tate and Durbin took the reins of the party and performed together. Check out video footage of the duet performance at this link.

Durbin released his debut album, 'Memories of a Beautiful Disaster,' in late 2011. The vocalist has a couple of shows scheduled later this month, and his video for 'Stand Up' will be out next week.
