"My favorite scene is right at the beginning," Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain told Noisecreep about 'Iron Maiden: Flight 666,' the band's new documentary which be available on DVD on June 9. "It's with Bruce [Dickinson], after we had to change the title, paperwork and finish the show. Bruce just nods, with his head down and his eyes closed. At that point, it says it all. That's the passion he has for the show and for flying and all the stresses just come out of him. It's an endearing moment, when you realize how much work, passion and drive went into it. You think, 'Oh gosh, thank goodness! We have the first gig under our belts."

Performing and being one of the captains of the plane that shuttled the band, crew and gear from venue to venue was a lot of work for the multi-tasking Dickinson. But 'Flight 666' isn't just about Dickinson the pilot. "I am proud of everyone who worked on the film," McBrain said. "The fans were amazing as was the road crew. A fan will get more out of it and they'll realize, 'Lord above, I had no idea that these guys were like this. It's an eye opener about Maiden."

McBrain isn't just passionate about drumming. Golf is another of his loves and he had just finished a round before our chat! "I am nice and relaxed right now because I have had a lovely game of golf with my chums and it was an idyllic day here," McBrain said. "There was no wind and it was one of those perfect days. I am in a good mood because of it. I am an avid player and I've already played twice since the last tour finished."
