Singapore isn't known for importing massive amounts of destructive, blackened death metal of the savage sort. The country is responsible, though, for producing Impiety, who are celebrating twenty years of bloodstorming, metallic rage with their sixth studio effort, 'Terroreign: Apocalyptic Armageddon Command,' a seething and snarling album ready for the end of days.

"The very sight, smell and existence of God and man's weakness that is called 'religion' keeps us atop the carnage we've been delivering since 1990," frontman/guitarist Shyaithan told Noisecreep. "We aim to maim and demolish the false and that only gives rise to the fury, might and prowess of Impiety's diabolical reign." While such statements sound like calls to arms, Impiety refuse to mask their disdain for the pious.

The album is a grim rumination of man's last days on earth, in a way that hasn't been done in Hollywood! It's not life-affirming, but it is based on scientific fact. "I am not going to paint another fantastic picture of Armageddon or post-nuclear apocalypse," Shyaithan said. "Maybe if I was 12- years-old, I'd say something juvenile. But based on science and physics, we know that sooner or later, there will be continuous global damage due to increasing amount of radiation. This has long been inevitable. If you are wise to science, you'll realize how fragile the worlds are. It doesn't need mankind to destroy it. Pestilence and plague of all forms have indeed descended long ago but that is nothing. The day will come when an intense discharge of scorching radiation arrives, causing chaos and shifts in the earth. Incineration is inevitable. Millions, if not all, will perish within a really short time."

Despite such a hostile scientific prophecy, Shyaithan deems the Singapore scene as "good, but not good enough, as more bands take the stage without proper or decent releases. Some bands don't even have a friggin' demo and are already playing gigs. But some great black and death metal bands have prevailed here. It boils down to deep passion and dedication when creating the music." Since Impiety are convinced time is ticking, they made the best of the time they've been allotted with 'Terroreign: Apocalyptic Armageddon Command.'
