Breakout Christian metal band Impending Doom have just signed a brand new record deal with eOne. While the ink on the contract is still drying, the band is already psyched about what the future will bring.

"We are all about taking it to the next level," bassist David Sitting recently told Noisecreep. When the the band's contract with Facedown Records expired, they chose to sign with eOne with global domination specifically in mind. "We want [to do] bigger tours and festivals, and to put out a record that can be marketed world-wide. We're taking the world over," Sitting said.

While some Christian metal bands are limited in the industry because their messages often alienate secular fans, Impending Doom don't seem to think they have that problem.

"We're a Christian metal band," said Sitting, who cites As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, and August Burns Red as his favorite Christian metal bands. "That's [where] the main structure of our band comes from, and that's [the core of] the message and lyrical content. But we've never been that band that shoves our faith or views down everyone's throat [while] onstage. We are more respectful of everyone's beliefs, even if it's not what we believe, and we feel those who don't believe what [we] believe have to respect us, too."

"I think we have more secular fans, but we do have a lot of Christian fans," Sitting said. "Those Christian fans are really dedicated, and that is what we love. They come out every time we come through their city, and they go to all the festivals that we play."

Since Impending Doom's music is full of carnage-causing mosh parts and breakdowns, Noisecreep asked Sitting what makes a good breakdown. "A hard-hitting vibe, for sure," he replied. "It comes out of nowhere and hits really hard."

The band will commence work on their eOne debut later this year.
