Syracuse, N.Y.'s Imbroglio will take your brain and pound it into a pile of scrambled eggs, thanks to the deadly drumming, venomous vocals and post-hardcore stylings of 'Dead Rain,' which Noisecreep is proud to premiere. The song appears on the band's new album, 'Sleep Deprivation,' which is due out Jan. 18 via The Path Less Traveled.

Imbroglio vocalist/guitarist D.J. Gilbert revealed the song explores the force that is Mother Nature and the inevitable changing of the seasons. "'Dead Rain' is musically a perfect representation of Imbroglio's sound," Gilbert told Noisecreep. "The song came together rather quickly during the writing process, which is what made it so good to us. Lyrically, the song is about enjoying the last season of the year before the winter arrives. People enjoy the fall while stepping on the remains of our dying nature. Plus, the sickness that comes with the seasonal change."

Gilbert also admitted that "as a group we all agree sickness doesn't come during the Winter. It comes during the Fall," which is an interesting twist on the perception of the seasons. He continued, "We feel like it makes us all bitter as well, because in good old [upstate New York], winters are very rough and challenging for us. This song is also a precursor for our song 'December,' which allows you to realize how reclusive we become during this season of the year. As humans, we are powerless at the hand of Mother Nature."
