I The Breather are in the middle of a massive North American tour alongside August Burns Red, Silverstein, Texas In July and letlive. in support of the much-anticipated new album, 'Truth and Purpose,' which comes out Feb. 28. Check out a track from the album below.

Since releasing their debut full-length album, 'These Are My Sins,' the Baltimore-based metalcore outfit had created tons of buzz and toured relentlessly alongside a variety of acts as Oceano and Close Your Eyes, just to name a few.

Drummer Morgan Wright sat down with Noisecreep backstage at the House of Blues in L.A. recently to talk about the new record, among other things.

How's the tour going so far, Morgan?

Amazing. Kids are already singing along – I wasn't anticipating that they'd to know the lyrics just yet so it's pretty cool.

Do you think the Christian values of the band allow certain fans to get involved that may really need the outlet?

Definitely. In our genre there are not a lot of bands that embrace these values within the music and so for fans, we become an outlet to worship in a sense. August Burns Red is another example. It's like an escape route. If kids are going through a tough time - they can relate to our lyrics and apply them to their lives. As a kid I was raised in a Christian home and grew up listening to a lot of positive music, including bands like Underoath. That always helped me a lot, too. Not just Christian music, either – bands like blink-182, the Dave Matthews Band – I listened to a lot of good stuff.

How does your family like your music?

My dad is so supportive and my mom too. They've always been. They honestly get it. Like on the new record, I sat them down and walked them through it. They can connect and they listen closely and they loved it. I'll tell you, I wouldn't be here with out them.

And soon you leave for Europe. Excited?

Very much so. It's the first time going over there for anyone in the band so it's a little surreal. I'm most excited because I'm such a big soccer fan and so visiting London will be the best. Manchester United is my team.
