Fronted by an operatic banshee named Jill Janus, Huntress is a traditionally-flavored metal band that is destined for big things. Based out of Highland Park, Calif., the group is rounded out by Blake Meahl (lead guitar), Ian Alden (rhythm guitar), Carl Wierzbicky (drums) and Eric Harris (bass), four heavy metal heshers with years of touring experience.

Huntress has been in the studio with Chris Rakestraw, a producer who has also worked with the likes of Skeletonwitch, Danzig and Children of Bodom. One of the new tracks the union has birthed is a stunner entitled 'Eight of Swords.' Featuring a nasty twin-guitar melody coursing through its core and a powerhouse vocal from Janus, the song has a winning balance of might and melody.

Noisecreep is excited to bring you the world premiere of the video for 'Eight of Swords.' Featuring a forest, blood, swords, and a Gibson Flying V – it's the kind of video Ronnie James Dio would have given his blessing to.

The video is drenched in occult imagery, crafted by Janus and her lust for the Tarot. The card 'Eight of Swords' represents self-imprisonment, however, freedom is attainable only if you choose to release yourself from enslavement. The clip's director, Simon Chan of Artificial Army, has also shot video for The Mars Volta, Coheed and Cambria, The Sword and Saviours.
