Jimi Hendrix would have been 70 this year. Although his hard-driving lifestyle eventually caught up with him, his inventive guitar work and songwriting is still influencing legions of musicians today.

In honor of his recent birthday, Hendrix 70: Live at Woodstock is currently playing in movie houses across the U.S. Shot at the legendary Woodstock festival in 1969, the film marks the debut of Gypsy Sun & Rainbows, Hendrix's new band at the time.

Hendrix 70: Live at Woodstock features such seminal rock songs as "Fire" and "Purple Haze," plus Noisecreep favorites like "Spanish Castle Magic" and "Red House." Seeing in a big movie theater, with a powerful sound system, is as close as you'll get to the actual live experience. So we recommend you catch one of the screenings by entering your zip code in the widget we've embedded below.

As a bonus, Noisecreep got its hands on a Jimi Hendrix 9-pack (!) CD/DVD package to give one of our readers. Whoa!
