Hatebreed are the latest act to grant the wish of a late fan by spreading the ashes of said fan across their stage. Behemoth and Dying Fetus recently pulled off a similar wish for a fan, and the late Dennis Guyot has followed suit by having Hatebreed leave a little bit of him onstage putting a stamp on their show in Cleveland.

According to a post on Hatebreed’s Facebook page, the band learned of Guyot’s wishes and spread his ashes across the stage in Cleveland. They also dedicated the song “As Diehard as They Come” to Guyot, while stating that Guyot was “a true Hatebreed diehard in life and death.” Check out the post below.

It has become more and more of a trend to have the deceased find a way to still reach out to their favorite bands. In the summer of 2015, Bullet for My Valentine were contacted by the parents of two young men who had died in a fatal car crash. One of the men’s families had made jewelry which could hold the ashes of the men, who were both major fans of Bullet for My Valentine. The European families then asked if Bullet for My Valentine would travel with the pieces of jewelry to the U.S. so that the late metal fans could travel abroad with the band.

Hatebreed are just starting the support for their new album The Concrete Confessional. The band is currently on the road with DevilDriver and Devil You Know. Keep up with where they’re playing at this location.
